Bayern Chief: Barcelona ‘Have No Money Anyway’ to Buy Harry Kane

Bayern Munich executive Uli Hoeness has dismissed speculation linking Harry Kane with a move to Barcelona, insisting the England captain will remain at the Allianz Arena.

Kane, who has a year left on his contract, enjoyed a record-breaking season with 61 goals in 51 appearances, helping Bayern secure a domestic double with victory over Stuttgart in the German Cup final.

Reports in Spain suggested Barcelona were monitoring Kane as they prepare to replace Robert Lewandowski, who has already bid farewell to the club.

However, Hoeness was quick to brush off the rumours, citing the Catalan side’s financial struggles. ‘Harry Kane is the best transfer we’ve ever made,’ he declared.

Asked if Kane would be staying long term, he added: ‘Yes, and Barcelona have no money anyway.’
