Finnish Champions HJK Sign Rising Star David Temidayo Olorunfemi

Finnish champions HJK Helsinki have announced the signing of Nigerian forward David Temidayo Olorunfemi from Tripple 44 Football Academy.
The 19-year-old striker has penned a contract that runs until the end of the 2027 season, with an option for an additional year.
Olorunfemi, regarded as one of Nigeria’s emerging talents, expressed his excitement about embarking on his European football journey with the most successful club in Finland.
‘It feels great to come here, this is a great opportunity for me. Striving towards domestic success and Euro competitions is exactly the kind of challenge I have been looking for. I can’t wait to help the team as best I can,” Olorunfemi told the club’s official website.
He added that his first impressions of Helsinki have been positive, praising the city’s food, weather, and scenery.
HJK reportedly overcame competition from clubs in Sweden and Denmark to secure his signature.
Olorunfemi now joins a growing list of Tripple 44 Academy graduates making strides in Europe, including Ibrahim Adewale and Emmanuel Godwin.
With 33 league titles, 14 Finnish Cups, and six League Cups, HJK Helsinki continue to strengthen their squad as they aim for both domestic dominance and success in European competitions.
