Iheanacho: ‘Why I snubbed many offers for Seville’

Kelechi Iheanacho has confirmed he received many offers after his contract ended with Leicester City but he was clear where he wanted to play his football.
The Nigerian was unveiled as a Seville player on Wednesday and has told the club’s official website how the club’s coach, Victor Orta played a huge role in his move to the LaLiga and why he decided to snub other offers for Seville.
“Victor Orta played an important role in bringing me here. He is a great person, he played a great role. Obviously, he’s been watching me for a long time and he knows the player I am. He has also done a great job for the club. He played a big role in bringing me here and we had a good relationship as well,’ said the Nigerian.
Iheanacho also revealed he valued Sevilla FC as the main option among the offers received.
‘Yes, there were offers from many clubs. But yes, obviously, there was a clear idea of what they want me to do here and why they bring me here in footballing terms. It was very clear to me to come here. I’m going to take advantage and give it my all, I hope it’s a great opportunity,’ he added.
