Martinelli: ‘We believe in ourselves and we will go for it’
Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is thrilled the Gunners got off to a perfect start after beating Wolves 2-0 at the Emirates to begin another season of chasing the Premier League title on a winning note.
Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka scored the two goals that got Arsenal going and Martinelli, in an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, acknowledged how difficult it will be to wrestle the Premier League title from Man City’s grip.
“This is the most difficult league in the world and we know how hard it is to play against City. We have to go game by game. We believe in ourselves and we know our quality and will go for it,’ said the Brazilian who expressed delight they have started well.
‘It is what we wanted and we got the win and we are really happy with that.”
He also hailed the two goal scorers.
‘We know Saka’s quality and Kai’s quality as well. They are really important for us and we trust them and we know they can decided games in a moment,” he said revealed the players love to play for gaffer, Mikel Arteta.
‘He is a really nice guy. Everyone loves him and we are just lucky to play under him. You guys can see how we play from the outside. We are just happy to have him as our manager.”
