2024 CAF Women’s Champions League: Edo Queens get quaranteed $300,000 for semifinals spot
Edo Queens of Nigeria will be paid at least $300,000 for qualifying for the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League tournament in Casablanca, Morocco.
The Nigerians ended two-time champion, Mamelodi Sundowns’ bid for a third crown and title defence after scoring twice in regulation time added minutes to turn a 1-0 deficit to a 2-1 triumph.

The feat means they are bound to play either in the final or the third-place match.
A place in the final will quarantee them a whopping sum of $400,000 and $600,000 if they make history as the first Nigerian team to win the title.
If they play in the third place, then will get between $350,000 or $300,000 depending on where they place.
Edo Queens are the third Nigerian side to play in the tournament after Rivers Angel who did not go past the group stage in 2021 and Bayelsa Queens who Bayelsa Queens who were denied a place in the finals by AS FAR (Association’s Sports of Forces Armed Royal) of Morocco in the semifinals in 2022.
