Napoli fail to reach agreement with Osimhen on new contract

Sky Italia has reported that Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis held a meeting with Victor Osimhen’s agent on Saturday and informed him about the club’s
€150m asking price for the Nigerian.

Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda was said to be present at the meeting and the Napoli President was said to have offered to extend Osimhen’s contract beyond
the current expiry of 2025.

According to Sky Italia, ‘De Laurentiis informed Calenda that any potential suitors will have to match the asking price whereas the current suitors can’t
offer more than €100 million so far.’

Meanwhile, no agreement was reached regarding the extension of the Nigerian as Napoli’s offer is not in line with what the player wants..

Osimhen, according to the report knows he will much more than Napoli can offerif he joins another club.
