Amusan thrilled to run 12.47 personal season’s best in Ostrava

World 100m hurdles champion and record holder, Tobiloba Amusan is thrilled to finally to run a new personal season’s best Tuesday at the 62nd Golden Spike in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

The Nigerian’s 12.47 run that ensured she placed third behind Olympic champion, Jasmine Camacho-Quine (12.42 meeting record) and Tia Jones (12.44) was her first run inside 12.50 this year.

The 26 year old is delighted she is gradually getting back to form with less than two months to the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

‘God’s power is working.12.47s season’s best today. #OstravaGoldenSpike,’ Amusan wrote on her Facebook page after the race.

Athletics observers believe the petite Nigerian is definitely on course as she will be looking to become the first Nigerian to successfully defend the Commonwealth, Diamond League and World Athletics Championships title.

Amusan did not legally run a sub-12.50 seconds in the event untill June last year on her way to her world record run and world title win in Oregon.

The Nigerian seems on course to repeating her success story of last year taking the same route.
