Boniface makes Leverkusen debut, Umar Sadiq in action for Real Sociedad

Victor Boniface made his unofficial debut for Bayer Leverkusen who lost 1-0 to Spanish side, Real Sociedad in a Charity match on Saturday.

Boniface who signed for the German Bundesliga team last week made his first start for the club.

The Nigerian had the ball in the net but the Bayer 04 new signing was offside when Puerta picked him out.

The only goal of the game was scored by Brais Mendez just before half-time.

Real Sociedad’s Nigerian forward, Umar Sadiq had earlier forced a save from Leverkusen goalkeeper and captain, Lukas Hradecky on 10 minutes from a tight angle.

The game at Real Sociedad was the first of three friendlies in seven days for Leverkusen who will face Ligue 1 side, Olympic Marseille on Wednesday before
playing Premier League side, West Ham on Saturday for the final test before the new campaign.
