Leicester City Boss, Maresca: Ndidi’s an important player for us, but..
As Nigerian makes it two goals in two EFL Cup games

Leicester City head coach, Enzo Maresca says Wilfred Ndidi is a very important player after the Nigerian scored his second goal of the season in six
appearances.
Ndidi opened scoring for the Foxes on 56 minutes in the 2-0 defeat of Tranmere Rovers in an EFL Cup second-round tie at Prenton Park and it was an unexpected goal.
Ricardo dinks a ball over to the Nigerian at the back post and he hits the ball on the half-volley. It might be a cross, it might be a shot, but its bounces off the far post and rolls over the line.
The Nigerian has been linked with an exit from the club after almost seven seasons following the Foxes relegation from the Premier League last season.
On Tuesday, Liverpool were linked with a move for the 26 year midfielder and Maresca is not oblivious of the fact that Ndidi could leave before the transfer window closes on Friday.
‘Ndidi’s an important player, but I have to say the same, the window market is open. Anything can happen for Wilfred and for all of the squad,’ he said after the gaem at Prenton Park.
