Three-time Diamond League 100m hurdles champion, Tobi Amusan says all glory to El Roi, the ‘God who sees me’ for making history Sunday in Oregon, USA.
The 26 year ran 12.33, a personal season’s best to become the second woman after Dawn Nelson-Harper to win three 100m hurdles titles in a row. Amusan who wore a low cut in Sunday’s final believes ‘keepings my natural hair for every Diamond League final may have its own Goodluck effect too.’
She won her first Diamond League title in 2021, running 12.42 to break Glory Alozie’s 12.44 African record set in 1998. She successfully defended her title the following year, running 12.29 to set a new meet record and last Sunday ran a personal season’s best to win her third straight title.
