Adeshina and Ezekiel top list of 13 most exciting indoor track and field performances in January

Temitope Adeshina’s Nigerian record-setting 1.96m clearance in the high jump and Nathaniel Ezekiel’s incredible 1:07.44 NCAA record-setting run in the 600
yard are among the list of 13 most exciting indoor track and field performances recorded in the NCAA in January.

NCAA reporter and analyst, Stan Becton, writing on the NCAA official website listed the two perfromances by the two Nigerians amongs the top so far.

‘It took only two meets for the freshman Adeshina to clear the third-highest height in the high jump of any women in NCAA history, clearing 1.96 meters at
the Corky Classic. Only nine women in NCAA history have ever reached that height.

‘Adeshina is now just .02 meters away from tying the women’s indoor collegiate record,’ Becton wrote about the 25 year old.

Baylor University junior Ezekiel made NCAA history after posting the best 600-yard time in collegiate history.

The 20 year old blasted out and held the lead for the entire race. Clocking in at 1:07.44, he put the fastest NCAA 600-yard race in the record books.

Kentucky’s Keaton Daniel’s personal-best, nation-leading and school-record 5.80m mark in the Pole Vault, Oregon’s Jaida Ross’ 18.84m in the Shot Put, Southern California’s William Jones’ world leading 45.24 in the 400m and Arkansas’ Amber Anning’s 400m time of 50.56, a world leader at thetime also made the list.
