Former Enyimba goalkeeper appointed a member of Black Stars of Ghana’s technical crew
Fatai Dauda, a former Enyimba goalkeeper, has been appointed the goalkeeping coach of Ghana’s Senior Men’s National Team – the Black Stars.
Dauda will be part of Otto Addo’s technical staff as the West African nation look to resuscitate their football following an atrocious outing at the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
The ex-Black Stars of Ghana shotstopper was on the books of Enyimba from 2016 to 2019, helping the 2-time African champions win the 2019 Nigeria Premier Football League title and reach the semi-finals of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
Prior to his latest appointment, the 38-year-old former Orlando Pirates and Chippa United man worked with renowned football academy, Right To Dream, as well as his country’s U-20 national team, the Black Starlets. More recently, he was the goalkeeping coach of Sudan’s senior men’s national team.
Dauda, who featured for Ghana at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, possesses a CAF C License and multiple FIFA and online coaching certificates.
