Okoye, Success to report for Udinese pre-season training on Wednesday

Nigerian duo of goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and forward, Isaac Success will report Wednesday for pre-season medical test ahead of the start of the 2024/25 Serie A season.

According to Udinese website, the Nigerians are among the first set of players who will return to the Bluenergy Stadium for ‘medical and athletic tests and some targeted sessions on the fields of the Dino Bruseschi sports center.’

The first phase of the work, the website reports, will take place at the headquarters in Udine until 18 July, when Udinese will leave for the training camp that will last until 31 July.

Okoye, who joined Udinese from Watford of England in August 2023, featured 22 times for the club across all competitions and kept five clean sheets in 21 Serie A games.

The 24 year old rescued Udinese from exiting the Italian topflight and kept a clean sheet in his club’s final game of the season, the 1-0 away at Frosinone.

Success on his part featured in 27 Serie A games and scored just once, his first goal in the competition since April 2023.
