Princess Ademiluyi delighted to sign first professional contract with West Ham

Nigeria-born Princess Ademiluyi says she is delighted to sign her first professional contract with West Ham where she has spent the last six years.

‘I’m really pleased to have signed my first professional contract. I feel amazing I am not going to lie. I have obviously been here since U12s, it’s been a journey. I have definitely learnt a lot. I feel like first team football is definitely different to U12s.

‘I feel like I’ve progressed as a player, on the pitch and off the pitch. I just want to put in that hard work. I’m super proud but also I just want to thank all the staff and all the coaches that have helped me progress throughout the years.

‘I feel like, yeah, it’s really showing now, all the high and lows, but ultimately it’s come to a high, so, it’s all good. Thank you guys for your support last season, I can’t wait to continue playing for you,’ she told the club’s official TV Channel, West Ham TV.

According to the club’s official website, ‘Ademiluyi joined the Hammers at the age of 12 and made her way through the West Ham United Foundation’s Player Pathway. During the 2022/23 campaign, she excelled for the U21s, scoring eight times in 12 appearances.

‘Ademiluyi linked up with the women’s first team in March 2023 with the then 16-year-old coming off the bench against Brighton in May 2023 to make her senior debut for the Club in the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL).

Since then, Ademiluyi has made 17 appearances for the first team across all competitions and has now committed her future to the Hammers.
