Southampton lower asking price for Onuachu, want €10m
Southampton have reduced their asking price for striker Paul Onuachu to €10m as Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor continue to negotiate with the English Premier League outfit.
According to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, Trabzonspor tabled a €6m bid for the striker which also had a 25 per cent sell-on clause which Southampton promptly rejected.
The Turkish Super Lig side are desperate to sign the Nigerian who finished last season with 19 goal contributions in 21 matches.
Southampton have ruled Onuachu out of their plans in their return journey to the Premier League and are ready to accept a bid not lower than €10m.
The 30 year old joined Southampton in January 2023 after spending the first half of the 2022/23 season with RCK Genk of Belgium, scoring 16 goals in 19 appearances.
At Southampton, he was reduced to a bit part player, starting just four of the 11 games he played in the Premier League with no goal and assist.
