‘If you want to buy a Ferrari, you have to pay the price of a Ferrari,’ Trabzonspor told Onuachu will be sold at the right price

Rasmus Ankersen, the director of football at Southampton and president of Turkish Super Lig side, Göztepe says Paul Onuachu will not be sold lower than what the Premier League club feels he is worth.

Ankersen may be referring to Trabzonspor’s President, Ertuğrul Doğan’s comment that he will not pay €15m for the Nigerian who spent last season on loan at his club.

‘I won’t buy Onuachu for €15m. I won’t buy anyone, not Onuachu. We love Onuachu very much, we want him to stay, but this must be done under reasonable conditions. There are no reasonable conditions.

‘His club is going down, we are going up. Hopefully, we will meet in a reasonable place soon and finish this business. Paul Onuachu also told his club that he did not want to transfer to any club other than Trabzonspor,’ Doğan was quoted to have said.

But Ankersen told NTVSpor that Onuachu won’t go on the cheap and liken the Nigerian to a Ferari.

Ankersen said of Onuachu: ‘If Paul Onuachu is to be sold, it has to be done at the right price. If you want to buy a Ferrari, you have to pay the price of a Ferrari’.
