Paris 2024 Olympics: D’Tigress suffer second friendly defeat to Serbia

Nigeria’s D’Tigress suffered their second friendly defeat after losing 70-62 to Serbia in their second pre-Olympic friendly on Sunday.
The Nigerians side trailed behind with a 6-point deficit, 21-15, in the first quarter.
Serbia maintained their dominance in the second quarter, extending their lead by 10 points, 39-29.
The Europeans retained their 10-point lead in the third quarter, 55-45.
Serbia pulled through to maintain their lead in the fourth quarter to seal victory in the contest.
D’Tigress will face Japan in the last friendly in Lille on Wednesday.
Nigeria will face Australia, France and Japan in Paris.
D’Tigress will be searching for their first win in 20 years and will open their Paris 2024 Olympics campaign against Australia on Monday, May 29, at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium, Villeneuve d’ASCQ in Lille.
The Nigerians have lost twice to the Aussies in their head to head encounters with the last defeat, 86-68, recorded at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in September 2018.
