Free agent, Etebo joins Genclerbirligi
Nigeria midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has joined Turkish club, Genclerbirligi on a permanent transfer.
Genclerbirligi made the announcement that the Nigerian has joined on a two-year deal.
‘Gençlerbirlik has signed Nigerian midfielder Oghenekaro Peter Etebo on a 2-year deal. We welcome Oghenekaro Peter Etebo to our family and wish him all the best in the red-and-black jersey,’ the club said in the statement.
Clubless for the entire 2023/24 season, the 28-year-old last played for Greek League club, Aris.
He also played for Feirense, Warri Wolves FC, Las Palmas, Stoke, Getafe, Galatasaray and Watford.
Etebo represented Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
He was also a member of the Super Eagles squad that won Bronze at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
