Romano: Why Osimhen is saying no to Chelsea

Fabrizio Romano, an international transfer market expert and journalist has reported an update on the sale of Victor Osimhen via his social channels, revealing why the Nigerian has said no to Chelsea so far.

“No change so far on the agreement for Victor Osimhen for Chelsea. Chelsea explore talks with Napoli, Napoli want Lukaku, but Osimhen rejects the Londoners for two reasons: he doesn’t want to reduce his salary and he is not open to a loan with the right/option to buy at this time.

‘He is still expected to leave Napoli, but no concrete change yet,” writes the journalist via his X profile.

The Nigerian is now considered out of Antonio Conte’s project, as evidenced by the fact that he has not featured in all five friendlies of Napoli summer training camp.

Osimhen has agreed a deal with PSG but the Ligue 1 side are not ready to pay the 130m euros release clause of the Nigerian.
