Troost-Ekong leaves PAOK for Saudi Arabian side, Al Khalood FC

Transfer expert and journalist, Fabrizio Romano says Super Eagles stand-in captain at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, William Troost-Ekong has agreed to join Al Khalood in Saudi Arabia.
Romano says the Nigerian’s Greek side, PAOK Thessaloniki and Saudi Pro League side, Al Khalood agreed on fee plus personal terms also in place.
The 30 year old Nigerian defender who joined PAOK Thessaloniki in July last year is set to switch club again and joined Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and other big name stars in Saudi Pro League.
Al Khalood FC is a Saudi Arabian football club based in Ar Rass, located in Al Qassim Province. It was founded 54 years ago and plays at the 8,000-capacity Al-Hazem Club Stadium

The club was promoted to the Saudi Pro League in 2023 and survived relegation last season after finishing just above the relegated teams in an 18-team league.
