Napoli Sporting Director: Osimhen has asked to leave

Napoli sporting director, Giovanni Manna says the club’s top scorer in the 202/23 season, Victor Osimhen has handed in a transfer request.
Manna revealed this to SportmediaSet ahead of the club’s Coppa Italia game against Modena on Saturday.
‘Osimhen asked to leave, we are calm because we have players in the squad who can replace him in the best way. However, we do not want to harm the integrity of the group and want to preserve it. We will see what will happen in the next few days,’ he said.
The Nigerian, who inspired Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years and netted 26 goals in 32 games, has been linked with multiple clubs this summer but no one has come forward to meet his asking price.
Chelsea looks to have pulled out of the move to sign the Nigerian after they could not agree a deal with Napoli and have moved on to other targets, specifically, Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid and are on the verge of signing Pedro Neto from Wolves.
Like Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain are also refusing to pay the 130m euros release clause for the player albeit the Nigerian has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 side.
That leaves Arsenal who are reportedly having problems with paying Osimhen the 12m euros a year net salary with the Super Eagle refusing to lower it.
