Aribo retains jersey number 7, Onuachu to wear 32 ahead of 2024/25 Premier League season

Joe Aribo will wear jersey number 7 on his return to the Premier League after his club, Southampton, updated its men’s first team squad numbers ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

The Nigerian international worn jersey number 7 when he joined the club in July 2022 from Scottish Premiership side, Glasgow Rangers and featured for one season in the English Premier League where he scored just twice in 21 appearances.

He also appeared 35 times and scored four goals last term in the Sky Bet Championships and will hope to do much better in his second season in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Paul Onuachu, linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor where he played last season, scoring 15 times in 21 games, has not lis number 12 jersey and will now wear number 32 if he stays in the Premier League.

The 30-year-old who joined Southampton in January 2023 has featured just 12 times for the Premier League side and neither scored nor did he provide any assist.
