Hawkins: PSG Won’t ‘Close the Door’ on Osimhen

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins says PSG is not ruling out pursuing Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen to make one last major purchase this summer.

Reports in the media including L’Equipe reported that PSG have decided not to pursue a deal for the Nigerian despite Gonçalo Ramos’ injury blow but Hawkins thinks otherwise.

‘PSG feel they’ve already strengthened their attack. But with just a week left, they’ll stay alert. If there’s an opportunity to bring in Osimhen, who is eager to join, they won’t close the door on that possibility,’ Hawkins said on RMC Sport.

Osimhen left Ligue 1 side, Lille for Serie A side, Napoli in 2020 and has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances, including 65 goals in Serie A.

The Nigerian also inspired the Partenopei to their first Scudetto in 33 years in the 2022-23 season, netting 26 goals in 32 games. He was also the top scorer in the Serie A that season.
