Onuachu, Dennis missing for the second straight game

It looks there will no place in Southampton and Nottingham Forest team for Paul Onuachu and Emmanuel Dennis respectively after both players were left of the squad when both sides met at Saint Mary’s on Saturday.
Onuachu, back at the club after a loan spell at Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor has been missing in all Southampton promotional photos and videos and will likely head back to Trabzonspor who has been on his trail since he netted 15 goals in just 21 league games while on loan at the club last season.
The Nigerian, 30, joined Southampton in January 2023 and has featured in just 11 Premier League games, starting only four. He neither scored nor provided any assist in those games.
Dennis is in a similar situation after taking the Premier League by storm in the 2021/22 season, scoring 10 goals and provided six assists in 33 games in his debut season.
He moved to Nottingham Forest in his second season but scored just twice and bagged two assists in 19 appearances before he left on loan, first to Turkish Super Lig side, Basaksehir FK whom he featured eight times for without scoring a goal.
He returned thereafter to Watford who are now campaigning in the Sky Bet Championship. He scored four times in 19 appearances to end his 2023/24 season.
It looks increasingly certain now that the two Super Eagles players will play their football elsewhere and should be moving before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
