Chelsea reach verbal agreement on personal terms with Osimhen, says Italian journalist

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti says Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement over personal terms with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as multiple reports also emerged out of Italy that the west London side is about to make a formal offer for the Nigerian.

Another Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio says Chelsea are ready to present a formal bid to both Napoli and Osimhen’s representatives in the coming hours and that the ‘swift action demonstrates the Blues’ determination to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming season.’

Italy’s most authoritative sports daily, La Gazzetta dello sport, also reported the impending offer from Chelsea to Napoli.

‘Chelsea breaks the hesitation and is ready to buy Victor Osimhen outright. An important offer was in the air, especially after the social outburst of agent Roberto Calenda, who had asked for more respect for his client,’ wrote the newspaper.

Galetti is however saying Chelsea and the Nigerian already have an agreement regarding personal terms, image rights and others.

He says the Blues want to bring in a striker before the summer transfer window closes on Friday night.

He reveals Chelsea have been in talks with Napoli and the player’s representatives over a proposed switch to Stamford Bridge in the final days of the transfer window.

A verbal agreement is now reportedly in place between Chelsea and the Nigerian regarding personal terms.
