Osita Okolo, Victor Osimhen’s brother-in-law has lashed out at the Napoli striker, who was not sold and relegated to the fringes of the squad.
The former member of the Nigerian bomber’s entourage, via social media, exalted the behavior of the Azzurri management, which decided not to sell the player and to put him on the sidelines of the squad, while addressing words of criticism towards the center forward, with whom Okolo himself, in the past, had more than one spat related to alleged commissions that would not have been paid to him.
Regarding Osimhen’s stay in Naples despite offers from Chelsea and Al-Ahli Sports Club, Okolo wrote: “Thanks to Aurelio De Laurentiis and Mister Conte for bringing common sense and leadership back to the Napoli team.
The removal of the ‘outcast’ from the rest of the team was long overdue. This ‘outcast’ made the beautiful Napoli team toxic for over two years. No player is bigger than the team. We must learn the lesson!’.
