Ndidi makes Whoscored Premier League Team of the Week

WhoScored, a comprehensive football statistics website that provides detailed data on matches, teams, and players from various leagues around the world has named Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi in its Premier League team of week four games.

The Nigerian provided two assists that put the Foxes 2-0 up at Crystal Palace on Saturday before the Eagles rallied to force a 2-2 draw.

Ndidi was paised by his coach, Steve Cooper for his efficiency as an offensive midfielder while the influential Leicester City-based newspaper, the Leicester Mercury named the Nigerian the club’s joint player of the game at Selhurst Park.

Now, Whoscored has joined by awarding the Super Eagle 8.15, the sixth highest in its team of the week.

‘Leicester picked up their second point of the season when they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Foxes will have Wilfried Ndidi largely to thank for their attacking efforts, as the Nigeria international provided the assist for both Jamie Vardy and Stephy Mavididi’s goals.

‘Ndidi also made a further two key passes, two successful dribbles, three tackles and seven ball recoveries, to earn a WhoScored rating of 8.15,’ wrote the website.

The Nigerian is joined in the team by Ipswich goalkeeper, Arijanet Muric, Matthijs de Ligt of Manchester United, Ipswich’s Dara O’Shea Gabriel Magalhaes of Arsenal, Amad Diallo (Manchester United), Dwight McNeil (Everton), Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes, Erling Haaland (Manchester City) and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.
