Ikorodu City FC confirm departure of head coach, Ozebagbe

Ikorodu City FC has confirmed the resignation of its head coach, Bright Ozebagbe.

The club took to its X page on Monday to confirm the development after losing for the fourth time in five games in their debut season in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

‘Ikorodu City Football Club can confirm the resignation of Bright Ozebagbe as head coach of the team.

‘The club received Ozebagbe’s letter of resignation last night after the 1-0 loss to Plateau United in Jos,’ wrote the club and revealed a new coach will be announced soon.

‘The club will announce a new coach in the coming days,’ it added.

The club has also announced that winger Sulaimon Babatunde has joined Al Mokawloon Arab Contractors Sporting Club of Egypt on a permanent transfer.

Ikorodu City will next face Bendel Insurance this weekend at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan in their matchweek six fixture and will hope for their first ever win in the NPFL.
