Iwobi makes 40th Fulham Premier League appearance, 203rd start in competition
Alex Iwobi is in Fulham’s line-up for Monday night’s Premier League game against Brentford at the Craven Cottage.
It will the 28-year-old’s 40th Premier League game for the Cottagers since he joined from Everton in September 203.
Iwobi has scored seven times in the 39 games he has featured for Marco Silva’s side, one more than he did in 123 games in the competition for Everton and four less than the 11 he scored in 100 appearances for Arsenal.
The Nigerian will not only be looking to score on his milestone appearance for Fulham in the Premier League, he will also be keen to win his 105th game in 263 games in the competition.
He is making his 203rd start on Monday night and remains only one of three Nigerian players to make at least two centuries of starts in the Premier League after Yakubu Aiyegbeni who started 216 of the 252 games he played and Joseph Yobo who started 212 of the 228 appearances he made in the competition.
Also listed to start is Iwobi’s compatriot at the club, Calvin Bassey who will be making his 39th appearance in the Premier Leagues and 45th across all competitions for the Cottagers.
