8th National Youth Games: Lagos state rewards athletes, coaches
Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has rewarded athletes and coaches who represented the state at the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.
The athletes and their coaches were hosted by the Governor at the Banquet Hall, Lagos House, Ikeja to celebrate their outstanding performance.
Represented by his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, the Team Lagos athletes and officials were reward with cash gift with gold medalists going home with N200,000 each, N150,000 each for silver medalists while bronze medal winners go home with N100,000.
Sports Association coaches who accompanied the team to Asaba got N100,000 each while other athletes who participated but did not make it to the podium get N50,000 each.
This gesture demonstrates Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to supporting and encouraging young athletes in Lagos State. The National Youth Games, which aim to breed and inspire future talents, have been a platform for Lagos athletes to shine.

Sports Association Coaches_: N100,000 each
Participating Athletes_: N50,000 each
