NPFL: Heartland vow to rewrite one-sided story in Oriental battle Vs Rangers
Heartland FC of Owerri have vowed to rewrite their unwanted, one-sided story against Oriental brothers, Rangers international FC of Enugu when both teams clash in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 13 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri on Saturday.
Heartland, coached by former Nigeria international winger, Emmanuel Amuneke have lost their last four NPFL games against Rangers, both at home in Owerri and at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium in Enugu with the visitors winning 2-1 in Owerri in their last encounter in March this year.
Amuneke and his men will feel confident going into Saturday’s game after winning three of their last four games and unbeaten in four straight games.
The Naze Millionaires are well aware of their unwanted record against the Flying Antelopes from Enugu and are determined to rewrite the record.
‘Though the odds may be against us based on the results of the past few seasons, we are ready to change the narratives as from today and strive to reclaim our superiority. We are the Naze Millionaires,’ the club wrote on its X page.
Heartland have lost in the two Oriental matches they have played so far this season to the two Abia state teams, Enyimba of Aba and Abia Warriors of Umuahia.
Rangers will be confident of a 3-0 record in Oriental battles Heartland have played this season as they seek to extend their unbeaten run to six games so far this term.
