Neita: Grand Slam Track’s an amazing opportunity to compete at the highest level

British sprinter, Daryll Neita is thrilled to be among the racers in the new global stage for elite track competition founded by four-time US Olympic Champion Michael Johnson.

Neita, the European 200m silver medalist is the first British sprinter to be signed on and says she can’t wait for the Grand Slam Track to start in April 2025 in Kingston, Jamaica.

‘I’m really excited to be the first British woman announced as joining Grand Slam Track and can’t wait to start racing in this fresh new league.

‘I love the concept and getting to race twice in a weekend is fun and exciting for all of us as Racers.

‘It’s an amazing opportunity to compete at the highest level in a whole new format that’s going to bring a lot of energy to the sport.

‘I can’t wait to see how the season unfolds and race alongside some of the best athletes in the world. It’s going to be an incredible experience for the fans and athletes alike,’ said Neita.

Neita was in Great Britain’s 4x100m team that won the Paris 2024 Olympics silver medal and placed fourth in the 100m final at the Games.

She holds a 10.90 personal best in the 100m and 22.16 in the 200m.
