NPFL: Enyimba eager to record first win in four games, Remo Stars target first away win in two months

Enyimba international of Aba will be looking for secure their first win in four Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, games and five across all competitions when thy host Oriental brothers, Rangers international of Enugu on Sunday at the Enyimba stadium in Aba.

The Peoples Elephant have drawn their last three games and did not win any game in November.

The nine-time Nigeria league champions will be keen to start December with a win and against Rangers, a side they have not beaten in over a year, it will not be a walk in the park.

Rangers drew 1-1 with Enyimba the last time they visited the Enyimba international stadium in December 2023

In Port Harcourt, Finidi George and Rivers United will be keen to extend their unbeaten run to four games and grab their sixth home win when they host Ahmed Musa-led Kano Pillars on Sunday.

After losing their first two games in the month of November, including a 1-0 loss to Bayelsa United in a South South derby, Rivers United have now gone three games without a defeat.

Finidi will be confident he can start another impressive home run like he did at the start of the season when he led Rivers United to win their first four home games.

Kano Pillars, led by former Super Eagles captain, will also be confident of getting a good result having won two and drawn two of their seven away games and drew 1-1 the last time they visited Port Harcourt in March this year.

At the Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri, Emmanuel Amuneke will be looking to steer Heartland back to winning ways after losing their five-match unbeaten run on Wednesday in Ilorin and having drawn their last two games before the defeat at Kwara United.

The Naze Millionaires have won just three of the seven home games they have played this season and have drawn their last game at the Dan Anyiam stadium again Rangers in an Oriental derby.

Amuneke will however be wary of a Nasarawa United team that seems to be back to winning ways after snapping a four-match losing run to beat Bendel Insurance 2-1 at the Lafia Township stadium on Wednesday.

League leaders Remo Stars will be seeking to secure their first away win since September when they visit the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna where they will face their host, Niger Tornadoes that have won two of their last three home games.

Kunle Soname men will be confident of getting a result in Minna where their south west neighbours, Ikorodu City got one just a week ago.
Tornadoes will however be eager to bounce back from the 4-1 trouncing they suffered at Bayelsa United on Wednesday.

After losing for the sixth game in a row away from home, Shooting Stars will be looking to take advantage of their impressive home run and make it five wins in a row when they host Abia Warriors at the Lekan Salami stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan on Sunday.

The Oluyole Warriors will be confident of winning this battle of Warriors to make it two wins on the bounce after whipping the Umuahia based team 4-0 in June this year.

The visitors have won one and drawn two of their seven games on the road and will be confident of at least snatching a draw like they did in June 2022 when they came back from a 2-0 deficit to draw 2-2 in Ibadan.

At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Ikorodu City will be looking for their sixth home win, thereby extending their unbeaten run to six games when they host the Promise Keepers, Akwa United who have lost all six of their seven games so far this season.

The Oga Boys have been impressive so far since they bounced back from losing four of their opening five games in their debut season in the NPFL.
