Eagles Monday Preview: Lookman returns to Atalanta line up, Iheanacho on the bench again
Ademola Lookman is back in Atalanta line up for the Serie A game at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome where they will be guest of AS Roma in a matchday 14 fixture.
Lookman was an unused substitute midweek at the Stadion Wankdorf in Bern, Switzerland where his side walloped their host, Young Boys 6-1 in a UEFA Champions’ League group stage game.
The Nigerian is now back in the starting lineup and will be hoping to continue where he left off when he scored in Atalanta’s 3-1 at Parma.
The 27-year-old has scored seven times in 10 Serie A appearances so far this season and nine in 15 games across all competitions.
A goal on Monday will take his number to double digits of goals for the third straight season.
At the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in Seville, Kelechi Iheanacho has been named on the substitutes’ bench for the second game running as Sevilla hope to make it two wins on the bounce for the first time in the LaLiga this season.
The Nigerian was an unused substitute the last time when Sevilla defeated Rayo Vallecano and will pray, he gets his gaffer’s attention during the game to make his eighth appearance of the season and get the chance to score his first LaLiga goal since he joined Sevilla as a free agent in July and his first league goal since October 2023.
