Ola Aina becomes 13th Most Valuable Nigerian; Iwobi, Bassey, unchanged, Awoniyi drops
Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina’s market value has moved from the €12m it was in May this year to €14m following the upgrade on the Premier League market values of over 500 players by Transfermarkt.
Aina has continued from where he left off at the Africa Cup of Nations early this year and has been super impressive for Forest in the 2024/25 season, starting all 16 Premier League games and scoring once.
The 28 year old is now the second most valuable Nigerian defender this year and 13th overall among all Nigerian players. He is also the 14th most valuable player among all Forest players and 804th among all players worldwide.
Injured Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has also increased for the first since May this year when his market value decreased to €16m from the €18m it was in October of 2023.
The 27 year old is now the eighth most valuable Nigerian and the fourth best among all Nigeria and Leicester City players respectively.
Southampton midfielder, Joe Aribo also increased in valuation from €5m to €6m while his compatriot at the club, Paul Onuachu who dropped again, this time from €11m.
Taiwo Awoniyi also dropped in value, from €28m he was valued just seven months ago to €22m following his lack of quality time on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey’s valuation are unchanged with the former Arsenal star still valued at €25m while Bassey is still valued at €16m.
While Iwobi remains the fourth most valuable Nigerian and also fourth among Fulham players with his valuation 350 among all players in the world, Bassey is ranked 10th among all Nigerian players and 11th in Fulham and 654th in the world.
