Osimhen: ‘I’m happy to have contributed 2 goals’

Victor Osimhen says he is delighted to score another brace, his third in the Super Lig in Galatasaray’s 5-1 mauling of Kayserispor.

The Nigerian scored on four and — minutes as the Yellow and Red open an eight-point lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.

Speaking after the game, the 25-year-old says the yellow and red club are delighted with the gap on the log and will hope to keep their unbeaten run in Europe.

‘I congratulate my team. I think it was one of the most important games of the season for us. It is important that we open the points gap. I’m happy to have contributed 2 goals. We are very happy with the win before the break, we need to keep this momentum going.

‘I quickly understood how to play with Baris, Yunus, Gabi and Mertens. Now we continue undefeated in Europe. Every match is very important.

‘We have goals, we continue on our way,’ said the Nigerian who has now scored nine goals in 11 Super Lig games and 12 across all competitions since he joined on loan from Napoli in September.
