NPFL: Plateau United deny placing players on half salaries

Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Plateau United have debunked claims on social media and unconfirmed sources that they have placed their players on half salaries following their poor performance ‘.

Plateau United have won just six and lost eight of the 18 games they have played in the competition this season and are not in the bottom three because of goals difference.

The club’s General Manager, Habila Hosea Mutla has vehemently debunked the claims that their players have been placed on half Salaries’
‘We’re aware that performance has to improve and have laid down certain internal measures to enhance performance and not my slashing players’ salaries,’ said Mutla in a press statement.

Plateau United have thus warned that they would ‘seek the services of the law enforcement to immediately invite the sources of this divisive story for further questioning and verification.

The club insists the story is completely false and not in conformity with the current reality in the team.

Plateau United have won just three of their last 10 games and will be guest of Rivers United on Monday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt. The club have lost their last seven away games and could make it eight if they lose and drop into the bottom three.
