Dennis joins Blackburn Rovers on loan from Nottingham Forest

Blackburn have confirmed the loan signing of Emmanuel Dennis from Nottingham Forest.

The forward becomes Rovers’ third signing on Deadline Day, after already welcoming Yuri Ribeiro from Braga and Cauley Woodrow from Luton Town.

The Nigerian has been in England since 2021 when he first joined in the Premier League and bagged 10 Premier League goals in 30 starts, including another debut goal in a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.

His fine form at Vicarage Road prompted Nottingham Forest to spend a reported £20m on the striker in August 2022, where he continued to play regular Premier League football, scoring in games against Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Loan spells with Istanbul Basaksehir and former club Watford followed for the Nigeria international, who has eight caps for his country.

Dennis will now hope to rediscover his goalscoring touch at Rovers after becoming our sixth signing of the January window.
