Udo-Gabriel removed from Missouri State University track and field team roster

Joy Udo-Gabriel looks set to have either dumped Missouri State University for another University in the USA or she may be having undisclosed issues following the removal of her name from the University’s track and field team roster.

The 25 year who looks to be fulfilling expectations after over five years of underwhelming displays is set to compete outdoors this season after dominating the NCAA Division 11 60m scene at the last indoor season.

Udo-Gabriel ran a new 7.11 lifetime best in the 60m on her way to winning the gold medal in the event at the NCAA Division 11 Track and Field Championship in Indianapolis last month.

Nigerians have been on the lookout for the former Making of Champions athlete to transfer her indoor stage to outdoor and join the exclusive list of Nigerians who have broken 11 seconds in the 100m.

Sportsnow.com.ng’s check on her university’s website reveals that her name has been removed from the roster which means she will no longer be competing for the University.

No reason was given for the action but Sportsnow.com.ng will keep tracking the development.

Also not likely to compete in the NCAA outdoor circuit this year is Favour Ashe.

The sprinter transferred from Auburn University to University of Oregon during the NCAA transfer season but has not been able to compete for his new school due to visa issues.

Ashe has been unable to get a visa back to the USA and it does look he may not get one soon.

Meanwhile, Godson Oghenebrume’s name is still on Louisiana State University’s Track and Field team roster despite not running for the school indoors and not outdoor this season.
