Osimhen four goals away from becoming top scoring foreign player in Galatasaray history

Galatasaray’s superstar Victor Osimhen will go down in club history if he scores 4 more goals.
The Nigerian has carried his team to the top in the Süper Lig and the Turkish Cup with the goals he scores. He has scored 31 goals and bagged 8 assists in 36 matches for Galatasaray across all competitions this season.
If he scores four more goals for Galatasaray in the five remaining Super Lig games and the final of the Ziraat Turkey Cup, he will become the foreign player who scored the most goals in a season in the club’s history.
He will supplant Brazilian, Mario Jardel who scored 34 goals and provided five assists in 43 games across all competitions in the 2000/01 season.
With his 22 goals in the Super Lig, Osimhen is also on course to end the season as the top scorer in the competition, just like he did in the 2022/23 season in Italy when he scored 26 goals to make history as the first African to end a Serie A season as top scorer.
He is two goals ahead of Istanbul Basaksehir’s Polish striker, Krzysztof Piatek and three more than Trabzonspor’s Democratic Republic of the Congo forward, Simon Banza.
