Osimhen nets 33rd goal to set a new goalscoring record in a season

Victor Osimhen scored twice in his club, Galatsaray’s 4-1 pummeling of visiting Sivasspor and set a new, personal scoring record in a season.

The Nigerian, who started the match for the yellow and red, shook the net in the 15th and 31st minutes.

The 26 year old superstar has thus surpassed the 31 goals he scored for Napoli in the 2022-2023 season and reached a career-high 33 goals this season.

If he scores two more goals for Galatasaray this outgoing season, he will surpass Mario Jardel and become the top scorer for the Super Lig side in a season.

If the Nigerian makes four more goal contributions, he will break Alex de Souza’s record for the most goals in a season.
