Amusan returns to Paris Diamond League, eyes another historic run

Tobi Amusan is set to make a highly anticipated return to the Meeting De Paris Diamond League after missing the Oslo and Stockholm events.

The 100m hurdles is also back as a Diamond League event for the first time since 2022, when Amusan set an African record of 12.41 seconds to win.

Her last high hurdles race was at the Rabat Diamond League, where she clocked a personal season’s best 12.45 seconds. Now, she’s aiming to go even faster and remind the rising stars—some of whom have dipped below 12.20 seconds this year—that she remains the World Record holder (12.12 seconds).

Amusan has also made significant changes to her team, switching both her manager and coach. She is now training under the legendary Glen Mills, who famously coached Usain Bolt to multiple world titles and records.

Could history repeat itself? The last time she competed at the Meeting De Paris, she went on to win a World Championship title and set a world record. With the World Championships in Tokyo just three months away, this race could be a crucial statement ahead of the global showdown.
