Trabzonspor reach agreement with Southampton for Onuachu

Southampton striker Paul Onuachu is set to return to the Turkish Süper Lig, with an agreement reached for his transfer. The experienced Nigerian forward is leaving Southampton, who were relegated from the English Premier League last season. Onuachu featured in 28 matches for the English side during the campaign, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist.

Having previously played for Trabzonspor in the Süper Lig, Onuachu is now heading back to Turkey. According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, the claret and blue side have reached a deal with Southampton for the transfer.

The transfer fee is reported to be €8 million, and Trabzonspor are currently in discussions over contract terms with the 31-year-old striker.

During his earlier stint with Trabzonspor, Onuachu made 25 appearances, scoring 17 goals and contributing 4 assists.

Before his time in England and Turkey, Onuachu played for FC Ebedei, Midtjylland, Vejle, and Genk.
