Osimhen demands financial guarantees from Galatasaray amid €75m transfer talks

Victor Osimhen is reportedly urging Galatasaray to provide concrete financial guarantees before he agrees to finalize a transfer away from Napoli. While the Turkish club is negotiating a deal worth €75 million over five years, concerns remain about the reliability of payment and the potential consequences if terms aren’t met.

According to Sky Sport’s Luca Marchetti, speaking on Radio Marte, the guarantees are crucial to ensuring Osimhen doesn’t risk a return to Napoli in case Galatasaray fails to meet the financial obligations. UEFA regulations impose heavy penalties for non-payment in transfer deals, including rare but possible exclusions from competitions.

‘The player is the one demanding the most certainty in this deal,’ said Marchetti. ‘Napoli might have regulatory protection, but Osimhen wants absolute clarity about his future.’

Sureties come with a significant cost, especially in high-stake transfers such as this. Trust in the payment plan is essential, but in Osimhen’s case, cautious optimism is being replaced by calls for binding commitments.
