Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Sunday Oliseh, is grieving the loss of his younger brother, Uche Levi Oliseh, who passed away on June 17 after a brief battle with malaria fever.

The news was confirmed in a heartfelt family statement released on Saturday.

In a deeply emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), Oliseh expressed the pain of the loss, writing:

‘Sadly, I lost my brother, Uche Levi Oliseh, on Thursday after a brief illness with malaria fever. I have over a million things that I would wanna talk, laugh and do with Uche, but sadly I cannot anymore. It hurts so bad, like I have never felt before.’

The family described Uche as ‘deeply loved, kind-spirited, full of life, and devoted to those around him.’

He is survived by his four children, parents, and siblings, including Churchill Oliseh and Sunday himself.

The Oliseh family has asked for continued prayers and expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
