Chelle: We are here to win

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has made it clear that Nigeria’s mission in Bloemfontein is to secure maximum points.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Chelle confirmed that his squad is prepared to deliver from the first whistle, which will be blown by Gabonese referee Pierre Ghislain Atcho.

‘We have come here to play for the three points, so we will be sending out the team that will get the job done. We are happy to have overcome Rwanda but we have to conquer here tomorrow in order to be in a good position for the qualification,’ Chelle affirmed.

Despite a shaky start to the campaign, Chelle has steered Nigeria to seven points from the last three matches and believes the team is now poised to shift momentum and challenge South Africa’s standing in the group.
