Iwobi’s Premier League victim count hits 16 with goal against Brentford

Alex Iwobi delivered a masterclass performance on Saturday evening, earning Man of the Match honors in Fulham’s 3-1 comeback victory over Brentford at Craven Cottage.
The Nigerian international scored once and provided an assist, helping the Cottagers secure their first back-to-back Premier League wins of the season.
Iwobi’s goal, his first of the campaign, was his 32nd in the Premier League, while his assist marked a record extending 37th by a Nigerian in the competition.
The 29-year-old has now scored against 16 different Premier League teams, with Brentford becoming the latest addition to that list after seven previous appearances without a goal against the Bees.
He has netted twice each against Manchester United and Chelsea, and once against Liverpool. His six goals against Wolves remain the most he has scored against a single opponent.
Meanwhile, his eight goal involvements against West Ham, comprising two goals and six assists, are his highest tally against any Premier League side.
Saturday’s assist was also Iwobi’s first ever against Brentford, making them the 17th team he has registered at least one assist against since making his Premier League debut in October 2015.
