NFF to Host 81st Annual General Assembly in Ibadan This Saturday

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, will convene its 81st Annual General Assembly on Saturday in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The event will be formally opened by the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, located opposite the University College Hospital, Orita-Mefa.

A host of distinguished guests are expected to attend, including Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko; NSC Director General, Bukola Olopade; Senate Committee on Sports Chairman, Senator Abdul Ningi; House of Representatives Committee on Sports Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Amadu; and former NFF President and FIFA/CAF executive, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick.

Also invited are former NFF 1st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi, and former General Secretaries Ambassador Fanny Amun and Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba.

The Assembly brings together Chairmen and Secretaries of Football Associations from all 36 states and the FCT, alongside members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management.

Representatives from the various leagues, Coaches Association, Referees Association, and Players’ Union will also be in attendance.

NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, MON, will deliver the welcome address, followed by an activity report from General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi.

The business session will feature presentations of the revised balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement, approval of financial statements and the upcoming year’s budget, consideration of new membership applications, and votes on proposed amendments to the Statutes and related regulations.

Additional agenda items include proposals from members and the Executive Committee, appointment of an Independent Auditor, and, if necessary, dismissal of individuals or bodies.
