Australia: Secured a sixth successive World Cup with a comeback 2–1 win over Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia: Qualified for a third consecutive World Cup after a goalless draw with Iraq.

Qatar: Booked their place with a 2–1 win over UAE. Their second consecutive World Cup after hosting in 2022.

CAF (Africa)
Morocco: First African team to qualify, thrashing Niger 5–0. Historic semi-finalists at Qatar 2022.

Tunisia: Qualified with two games to spare, beating Equatorial Guinea away. Eight clean sheets in qualifying.

Egypt: Returned after missing Qatar 2022, sealing qualification with a 3–0 win over Djibouti. Salah led the charge.

Algeria: Back at the World Cup for the first time since 2014 after beating Somalia 3–0.

Ghana: Fifth World Cup appearance, secured by a 1–0 win over Comoros. Debuted in 2006.

Cabo Verde: Historic debut. Topped Group D after beating Eswatini 3–0. Second-least populous nation ever to qualify.

South Africa: Ended a 16-year absence with a 3–0 win over Rwanda. Last appeared in 2010 as hosts.

Senegal: Secured their fourth World Cup with a 4–0 win over Mauritania.

Côte d’Ivoire: Returned for the first time since 2014 after beating Kenya 3–0.

CONMEBOL (South America)
Argentina: First South American team to qualify. Secured their spot when Bolivia drew with Uruguay. Reigning champions.

Brazil: Maintained their perfect record of appearing at every World Cup with a 1–0 win over Paraguay.

Uruguay: Qualified for a fifth successive World Cup under Marcelo Bielsa with a 3–0 win over Peru.

Ecuador: Secured qualification with a draw against Peru. Fifth finals this century.

Paraguay: Returned for the first time since 2010 after a 0–0 draw with Ecuador.

Colombia: Back after missing Qatar 2022, sealing qualification with a 3–0 win over Bolivia.

OFC (Oceania)
New Zealand: Qualified by beating New Caledonia 3–0 in the OFC final. Their third World Cup after 1982 and 2010.
