Angélique Kidjo and Oualass named hosts of CAF Awards 2025 in Rabat
The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has announced that global music icon Angélique Kidjo and Moroccan comedian Oualass will co-host the CAF Awards 2025, scheduled for 19 November at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat.
This year’s edition brings together two personalities who embody the artistic diversity and cultural vibrancy of Africa.
Kidjo, a five-time Grammy Award winner from Benin, has been a leading voice in world music for more than three decades, blending African rhythms with global sounds.
Beyond her artistry, she has been recognised as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential women, serves as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and is a passionate advocate for women’s rights, education, and the preservation of African heritage.
Joining her on stage will be Oualass, the comedian, actor, and showman whose rising popularity in Morocco and across Africa has made him one of the continent’s most recognisable entertainers.
Known for his humour, improvisation, and ability to connect with audiences of all ages, Oualass is expected to bring warmth, energy, and flair to the evening.
